Life Coach, Career Coach & Creative Coach

I’m a Life Coach, Career Coach and Creative Coach working with people at all stages of their personal or professional development journey.  I enable clients to find happiness through their work and to find balance and fulfilment in their life.

I understand that feeling of wanting more from your life and your work, how scary it can feel to take that leap forward and also how good it feels when you eventually do.  I too felt stuck in a career which wasn’t getting the best out of me.  I knew there was something more fulfilling out there and so I took that leap and have never looked back.  I now use this life experience together with business experience from the 14 years I spent working in creative commercial roles for some well-known brands to enable others to follow their own calling, take their own brave leap or help their creative businesses to thrive.

I follow the Co-Active model of coaching which means I focus on the whole person, working intuitively and always believing in my clients’ own inner resourcefulness.  I hold a confidential space for them to explore their deepest desires and fears without judgment.  I also hold clients to account for their actions, as this is often the difference-maker between succeeding and drifting along!

I believe the world needs more people who make a living doing what they love.  So whatever your passion, whatever your calling, take that brave leap and you too may never look back!

Experience of running a small creative business

I also run the commercial side of a successful small creative business which provides me with the testing ground and understanding to enhance my clients’ growth. We make and sell art-based products and designs into the likes of Chatsworth House, The White Company and Marks & Spencer as well as some beautiful independent shops across the UK and overseas and on our own website. We are forging partnerships with publishers, licensing agents and manufacturers to create a recognisable brand.   I understand the ups and downs of entrepreneurship and of working with talented Creative people in a way to get them best out of them.  I love managing all the tasks that enable the artist to focus on her art (the numbers, the contracts, the website and the marketing) and watching the business grow and blossom into it’s true potential.

Why I became a Coach

I have always had a deep fascination with personal development and a strong desire to encourage others to be the best they can be. I have a need to do this work.  Not in the sense of having to pay the bills, but in the sense that I am driven to work with people, to nurture them and their own deepest desires and to share the experiences and the enthusiasm I have for living an authentic life which expresses who you truly are because the world is a much better place for it.

Having set up two small businesses and making one or two mistakes along the way, I also want to pass on what I have learnt and to provide an understanding ear for those on the amazing rollercoaster ride of working for themselves.  I want to take some of the pain out of it and to save people precious time and money.

And finally, having a Coach of my own and seeing first hand the powerful transformative effects, I am 100% sold on the coaching process.  I have tried every therapy and treatment going and nothing has brought anywhere near the positive change that coaching has.  It never ceases to astound me.  Every penny that I’ve spent on coaching has reaped rewards far beyond financial measure (although that’s happening too!)

How I keep myself balanced

I try to keep myself balanced through my love of Kundalini Yoga, meditation, a well-used subscription to Spotify and walks in the woods with my dog, Madge.  I’m always searching for the next great podcast or blog to help nourish the mind and the soul.  I’m also fascinated by the spiritual side of life and finding new ways we can improve ourselves or our view the world (whilst realising we are all a work in progress!)  I often bring these into my coaching work, where appropriate, so I can arm my clients with tools to keep them in balance to give them new perspective.
